Request Funds

Horace Hawks Booster Club financial assistance is offered on a “funds available” basis for students, groups, or teams participating in qualified events.  Our goal is to provide financial support for as many academic and athletic requests as possible, and to distribute funds fairly and equitably to requesting programs at Heritage Middle School and Horace High School.  The Horace Hawks Booster Club supplements, but does not replace the District’s budgetary obligations.

  • No purchases or transactions should occur until the request has been submitted and approved by the Horace Hawks Booster Club. Retroactive funding requests will generally not be considered.
  • All requests must go through the Athletic Director prior to submitting to the Booster Club.
General Guidelines

The Booster club will generally NOT be funding requests related to

  • Apparel or equipment that will not be reused or remain with the school (including coaches or students / athlete’s personal apparel / uniforms, etc.)
  • Coach fees / personal items for coaches or advisors
  • Banquets / meals / hotels
  • Travel expense
  • Items covered under the school budget
  • Team uniforms and equipment necessary to operate a program
Submission guidelines
  • Complete the attached request form.
  • Obtain documented quotes for all funding requests. Attach those documents to request form.
  • All requests NEED to be accompanied by a price quote from where the item will be purchased. Estimates will generally not be accepted.  For any requests over $2000, at least 2 competing quotes will be needed with the submission.
  • Forward request / quotes for funding to Athletic Director (Aaron La Deaux) at almidthun@west-fargo.k12.nd.us by the 20th of the month to be reviewed at the next Booster Club meeting.
  • If AD approves, he will forward requests to Booster Club President to be added to agenda. Requestor will be notified of invitation to next Booster Club meeting.
  • Group advisor (adult) and 1 student will attend the next Booster Club meeting to verbally present the request and answer questions. We encourage student groups to do the presenting, as a practice in the professional setting.  Please plan a brief (10 min or less) presentation and be prepared for questions.
  • Booster Club will follow-up with decision to requestor / club within one week of meeting.
  • If approved, a copy of receipt of purchase must be submitted to the Booster Club (email or leave in mailbox) within 14 days of purchase. Attach a copy of a picture that can be used on social media.
